Kalithea on the Greek Island of Rhodes

Rhodes Kalithea

Kalithea is an up and coming resort on the North East Coast of the Greek Island of Rhodes. It's growing in popularity with those who wish to combine comforts of modern luxurious hotels in a really peaceful location, with the fantastic Greek weather, beaches and coast, whilst being close enough nightlife, history and tourist attractions.

Kalithea today features a number of very high quality luxury hotel complexes. These have all you could wish for with some of the very best beauty and pampering treatments, gyms, private beaches, live entertainment, fine dining in a choice of restaurants and bars, and rooms ranging from high quality right up to presidential suites.

All the main Kalithea hotels get good reviews, but the best include Rodos Palladium and the Elysium Resort and Spa.

Kalithea has been well known across the Greek and Turkish part of the world for over a thousand years because of the famous Kalithea Springs which were supposed to have amazing curative properties to improve health across a wide range of conditions and illnesses.

In the early part of the last century the occupying Italians built a delightful thermal spa with ornate domes and mosaic floors. Kalithea Springs has recently been fully restored and is open to the public as a tourist attraction for a small entry fee.

The beautiful domes and pretty Greek coastline make this a popular venue for weddings.
