Kalithea Springs

Kalithea Springs

Kalithea Springs is a fashionable tourist attraction on the North East Coast of the Greek Island of Rhodes.

The thermal springs at Kalithea have been famous in all of Greece and the surrounding lands for thousands of years.

The springs were said to be a miracle cure for almost every known ailment. People travelled a long way to spend time in the medicinal waters.

Kalithea Springs the beautiful art-deco archtecture of today was actually built by the italians who were occupying Rhodes in 1929.

Although the Springs at Kalithea fell into disuse and were closed off for many years, thanks to EU funding the whole complex has been lovingly restored to it's former glory.

Kalithea Springs costs just a modest entry fee(3 Euros at the time of writing), and is well worth the visit.

The beautiful domes and pretty Greek coastline make this a popular venue for weddings.
